February (alternating with NSW) : Warriors on Water -
four-day interstate Surf Life Saving series - Queensland
versus NSW.
February: ANZ Ladies Masters at Royal Pines Resort - the
biggest women's golfing event in the southern
hemisphere.
February / March : The spectacular Quicksilver and Roxy
Pros where the best of the world's surfers compete to
win.
March: Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Carnival - a
huge program of racing, parties, dinners and yearling
sales, including the Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions
Raceday.
May: The Prime Minister’s Cup on the Gold Coast for the
last 29 years.
May: Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. One of the
most prestigious boat shows in the Asia-Pacific region.
May : Blues on Broadbeach. A program jam packed with
leading Australian blues acts and mixed with
international guests.
June: Wintersun Festival, Australia's Leading Rock &
Roll Nostalgia Event held in Coolangatta and Tweed
Heads. Featuring over 1000 Hot Rods, Custom and Classic
Cars, more than 100 bands and performers, dancing,
movies, street parade and competitions.
July: Gold Coast Marathon - an award winning Queensland
event
August: Tastes of Gold Coast, annual festival of
food and wine, offering the very best of what the Gold
Coast has to offer.
September: The Australian International Movie
Convention. The event brings together distributors,
producers, and exhibitors to the Gold Coast of
Queensland.
September: The Australian University Games, one of the
nations largest annual multi-sport festivals.
October: The classic Coolangatta Gold is back on the
calendar. A combined 46 km sporting event that includes
swimming, running, water skiing and board paddling.
October: Indy 300 - the biggest event of the year with
hundreds of thousand of people attending whether to
watch the cars or party all day and night.
November: Gold Coast Schoolies Week. Young people
celebrating their end of Year 12. The event can
last up to 3 weeks as NSW Victoria and QLD all have
different designated schoolies week.
December: Surfers Paradise International Cycling Grand
Prix, a 100 km race from South Bank Brisbane to Surfers
Paradise.
